Inthespringof1922,ZhangZuolinorderedWangYongjiang,governoroftheskyandtheheadofthefinancedepartment,toorganizetheestablishmentofNortheasternUniversity.TheformerNationalNormalSchoolofShenyangwasreorganizedasNortheasternUniversity'sDepartmentofScienceandEngineering,andtheoriginalSchoolofLiterature(formerlyFengtianSchoolofLawandPolitics)wasreorganizedasNortheasternUniversity'sDepartmentofArtsandLaws.TheprincipalisconcurrentlyservedbyWangYongjiang,andtherearemorethan480students.TheDepartmentofLiberalArtshasDepartmentsofChineseLiterature,DepartmentofEnglish,DepartmentofRussianLiterature,DepartmentofLaw,andDepartmentofPoliticalScience;DepartmentofScienceandEngineeringhasDepartmentofMathematics,DepartmentofPhysics,DepartmentofChemistry,DepartmentofCivilEngineering,DepartmentofMechanicalEngineering,andtheestablishmentoftheNortheasternUniversityPreparatoryCommitteeCan.OnApril19,1923,FengtianProvincialOfficeissuedthe"SealofNortheasternUniversity".OnApril26,itwasofficiallyopened.NortheasternUniversitywasdeclaredestablished.ThethengovernorofFengtianProvinceWangYongjiangwasthefirstpresident.
OnOctober24,1923,NortheasternUniversityofficiallyopened.TheschoolimitatedthedesignoftheUniversityofBerlininGermany,andPresidentWangYongjiangpersonallywrote"KnowingandDoingOne"astheschoolmottoofNortheasternUniversity.AnotherNortheasternUniversityfactorywasopenedneartheschool,coveringanareaof200acres,forstudentstouseforinternships.Dr.YangYuzhen,whohadreturnedfromstudyinginGermany,washiredasthefactorydirector.ThenewlybornNortheasternUniversityhasbeguntousemoderneducationalmethodsandmethodstoinspirestudents'thinkingandenrichacademicculture.
InSeptember1925,thepolytechnicbuilding,professor'sresidence,studentdormitoryandcorrespondingancillaryfacilitieswerecompleted.Onthecampus,thewhitebuildingoftheUniversityofScienceandTechnology,theChemistryMuseum,theTextileMuseum,thelibrary,theauditorium,thelaboratory,thesouthandnorthbuildingsofHanqing,theprofessor'sresidenceDongxiNewVillageandthelargeststadiuminAsiaatthattimearelinedupinrows.Thebuildingsaremagnificentandmagnificent.
InNovember1927,LiuShangqing,thegovernorofFengtianProvince,concurrentlyservedasthepresidentofNortheasternUniversity.
OnAugust16,1928,theHuanggutunincidentthatshockedChinaandforeigncountrieshasbeenmorethantwomonthsinthepast.GeneralZhangXueliang,thefamouspatrioticgeneralwhohasjustsucceededhisfatherZhangZuolininchargeofmilitaryaffairsinNortheastChina,succeededasthethirdpresidentofNortheasternUniversity.Heputforwardtheschoolmissionof"studyingadvancedacademics,cultivatingspecializedtalents,meetingtheneedsofthesociety,andseekingculturaldevelopment",andsuccessivelydonatedmostofhisfather’slegacyofabout1.8millionsilverdollarstoexpandtheschoolbuildingandhirefamouspeoplewithhighsalaries.Scholars,purchaseforeign,advancedexperimentalequipment,andfundstosendoutstandingstudentsabroad.Atthattime,theschoolsetuparelativelycompletesetofdisciplinesincludingscience,engineering,literature,law,andeducation,andsocietiesinvariousdisciplinesdevelopedrapidly.TheLiberalArtsandLawDepartmentestablishedtheSelf-GovernmentAssociation,theXiashengSociety,andtheSocialScienceResearchSociety;theEngineeringCollegeestablishedtheMiningSociety;theScienceandEngineeringPreparatoryDepartmentestablishedtheEnglishResearchAssociation;andtheDeanoftheFacultyofScienceSunGuofenginitiatedtheScienceEducationAssociationtopromotescientificprogress.Duringthisperiod,scholarsandexpertsfromBritain,France,theUnitedStatesandothercountriescametoNortheasternUniversitytogivelecturesandexchanges.
InAugust1928,LiangSichengandLinHuiyin,whohadfinishedtheirEuropeantravelinvestigation,cametoDongdaattheinvitationofPresidentZhangXueliangandsetaboutestablishingChina'sfirstarchitecturedepartment.
InSeptember1928,asPrincipalZhangXueliangstronglyadvocatedco-education,atotalof50girlsfromvarioussubjectsenteredNortheasternUniversity.
OnJuly1,1929,atthefirstgraduationceremonyofNortheasternUniversity,PresidentZhangXueliangissuedgraduationcertificatesandbachelor'sdegreesto120students.ThestudentswiththehighestgraduationscoresineachdepartmentarealsoselectedbytheschooltostudyabroadinBritain,theUnitedStates,andGermany.Intheautumnofthesameyear,studentsfromthetwoschoolsofgrammarmovedtotheBeilingcampus.PresidentZhangXuelianghiredheavilyandrecruitedgoodteachers.ZhangShizhao,LiangShuming,LuoWenqian,FengZuxun,LiuXianzhou,HuangKan,LiuBannongandotherfamousteacherstaughtEastUniversity.PresidentZhangXueliangalsoattachesgreatimportancetophysicaleducation,recruitingmorephysicaleducationteachers,andorganizingstudentteamstoparticipateinvarioussportscompetitions.
In1929,the14thNorthChinaGameswasheldatNortheasternUniversity.Dongdabroke8nationalrecordsandwonthefirstplaceinthemen’strackandfieldcompetition.TheEastUniversityfootballteamandbasketballteamalsoexpeditiontoJapantocompete.DongdaUniversity'sstrongphysiquerefutesthefallacyofthe"sickmanofEastAsia".
Intheautumnof1930,NortheasternUniversityhasdevelopedinto6colleges,24departments,8specialties,and3000students,magnificenthomes,advancedequipment,abundantfunds,excellentteachers,andagoodacademicstyle.Mu'sfirst-ratedomesticinstitutionofhigherlearning.
Whiletheschoolwasbooming,theSeptember18thIncidentbrokeoutin1931,andtheJapanesearmyoccupiedShenyangovernight.TohokuUniversitybecamethefirstuniversitydestroyedbyJapaneseimperialistinvasionanddestruction.TheschoolbuildingwasoccupiedbytheJapanesearmy,allequipmentandbookswerelost,famousscholarswereseverelylost,studentswanderedabroad,andtheschoolbecameanexileduniversityovernight.Theteachersandstudentsoftheschoolweresoangrythattheywereforcedtoembarkontheroadofexile.InOctober,NortheasternUniversitybarelyresumedclassesinPeking.
InJuly1932,PresidentZhangXuelianginvested8,000silverdollarstosponsorLiuChangchun,astudentofNortheasternUniversityandtheholderofthe100-meternationalrecord,toparticipateinthe10thOlympicGamesinLosAngeles,USA.OnJuly30,LiuChangchunwalkedattheopeningceremonyoftheOlympicGameswiththeChineseflaginhand,becomingtheonlyathletetoparticipateintheOlympicGamesforthefirsttimeinChina.
In1933,allninedepartmentsofFengYongUniversityfoundedbythefamouspatriotFengYongweremergedintoNortheasternUniversity.
OnDecember9,1935,undertheleadershipoftheCommunistPartyofChina,theBeipingStudentNationalSalvationAssociationorganizedandlaunchedthe"DecemberNine"studentanti-Japanesepatrioticmovement,andNortheasternUniversitybecamethe"DecemberNine"ThevanguardandmainforceoftheAnti-JapanesePatrioticMovement,followedbydemonstrationsofthe"December16Movement".Duringthestudentanti-Japanesepatrioticmovement,themastersandstudentsofDongbrokethroughthearmyandpolicesurroundedbyarmedswords,anddispatchedalonearmyfromChongyuanTempletoXisiNorthStreet,andthentoMinxianginDongjiao.Theybravedtheseverecoldandpersistedintothenight,becomingthemainforceandvanguardinthestruggle.Duringthestruggle,morethan40oftheEastUniversitystudentswerearrested,andPresidentZhangXueliangwrotealettertorescuethearrestedstudents.The"JanuaryTwoNineMovement"markedanewhistoricalperiodfortheChineseintellectualyouthpatrioticmovement.
Afterthe"DecemberNine"Movement,thesituationinNorthChinaisatstake."NorthChinaissobigthatitcan'taccommodateapeacefuldesk."UniversitiesinPekingmovedoutoneafteranother.
Atthebeginningof1936,NortheasternUniversityEngineeringCollegemovedtoXi'anfirstandestablishedXi'anbranchcampus.GeneralZhangXueliang,whoiscurrentlyworkinginXi’an,raised150,000yuantobuildtheschoolbuildingofNortheastUniversityandwroteaninscriptiononthecornerstoneoftheauditorium:RelocatetoChang'an,Zortos,andrestoremyriversandmountains!",warnedteachersandstudentsnottoforgettheresponsibilityofreturningtotheirhometowns.
OnDecember9,1936,ontheanniversaryofthe"January,February,NinthMovement",morethan10,000youngstudentsinXi'anheldamassivepetitiontocommemoratethefirstanniversaryofthe"January,FebruaryandNineMovement".ThestudentsofNortheasternUniversityXi’anBranchwereattheforefrontoftheparade,chanting:"Stopthecivilwar,uniteintheresistanceagainstJapan","Atgunpoint,bringdownJapaneseimperialism","Stopthecivilwarandfightbacktoyourhometown!"andothersloganswenttoLintong..Uponhearingthenews,PresidentZhangXueliangdroveuptothestudentpetitionteamandtoldthestudents,"Yourwishisalsomywish.Themilitarypolicehavealreadysetupmachineguns.Everyonewillgobackfirst.Ipromisetogiveyouananswerwithinaweek."Threedayslater,onDecember12,the"Xi'anIncident"brokeout,leadingtothesecondcooperationbetweentheKuomintangandtheCommunistParty,whichbecameaturningpointfromacivilwartoanationalwaragainstJapan.Afterthe"Xi'anIncident,"PresidentZhangXuelianglosthisfreedomandbeganalifeinconfinementformorethanhalfacentury.
InJanuary1937,theNanjingKuomintanggovernmentcommitteeZangQifangbecametheactingpresidentofNortheasternUniversity.NortheasternUniversityinPekingmovedsouthtoKaifeng,Henan.
InMay1937,NortheasternUniversitywaschangedto"NationalNortheasternUniversity".InJuneofthesameyear,allschoolsmovedtoXi'an.
Inthespringof1938,theJapanesearmybombedXi'an,andNortheasternUniversitywasforcedtoenterSichuanfromShaanxi.InSantai,Sichuan,agroupoffamousteachersgatheredinDongda,LuKanru,FengYuanjun,JinYufu,GaoHeng,YangRongguo,YaoXueyinandotherssuccessivelytaughtattheschool.
InJuly1938,undertheorderoftheMinistryofNationalEducation,theNationalNorthwestAssociatedUniversityCollegeofTechnologyandJiaozuoCollegeofTechnologyweremergedintoNortheasternUniversity.
In1940,thefamousscholarJinYufuwenttoDongdatoprepareforthe"NortheastHistoryandGeographyEconomicResearchOffice".
In1942,theMinistryofEducationoftheNanjingGovernmentissuedanorder:tochangetheNortheastHistoryandGeographyEconomicResearchOfficetotheInstituteofLiberalArts,andgrantamaster’sdegreetograduatestudents.
InAugust1945,afterthevictoryoftheWarofResistanceAgainstJapan,60teachersandstudentsofNortheasternUniversitywereawardedthetitleofmartyrs.
InFebruary1946,NortheasternUniversitywasalsoestablishedintheLiberatedArea,andZhangXuesi,theyoungerbrotherofPresidentZhangXueliang,servedasthePresident.TheschoolsitewasinitiallysetupinBenxi,andlatermovedtoDandong,Meihekou,andJilin.ItwaslocatedinJiamusiCityinJuneandmovedtoChangchunontheeveofliberation.
InMay1946,theteachersandstudentsofNationalNortheasternUniversitymovedbacktoShenyangfromSantai,andtheschoolopenedattheoriginalsiteofBeilinginFebruaryofthefollowingyear.
InJune1948,theNanjinggovernmentorderedtheNationalNortheasternUniversitytomovetoBeiping.
In1949,theSchoolofArts,Science,LawandBusinessofNationalNortheasternUniversitywasmergedintoNortheasternUniversityofChangchunLiberatedAreaandlaternamedNortheastNormalUniversity.TheNationalNortheasternUniversitySchoolofMedicinewasmergedintoChinaMedicalUniversity.TheAgriculturalCollegeofNationalNortheasternUniversityparticipatedintheestablishmentoftheNortheastAgriculturalCollege,whichlaterdevelopedintotheNortheastAgriculturalUniversity.
OnJanuary31,1949,Pekingwaspeacefullyliberated,andNortheasternUniversityfinallyenteredanewhistoricalperiod.
IntheearlydaysofthefoundingofthePeople'sRepublicofChina
InMarch1949,theNortheastAdministrativeCommitteedecidedtoestablishShenyangInstituteofTechnologyonthebasisofNortheasternUniversityCollegeofEngineeringandCollegeofScience(partially).InAugust1950,itwasnamedNortheastInstituteofTechnology,whichwassubordinatetotheMinistryofMetallurgicalIndustryofthePeople'sRepublicofChina,andtheschoolwaslocatedinNanhu,Shenyang.
InApril1950,JinShuliang,awell-knownmetallurgicalexpert,servedasthedeanofNortheastInstituteofTechnology,with12,936studentsand2,428teachers.

In1952,collegesanduniversitieswereadjustednationwide,includingTsinghuaUniversity,DalianInstituteofTechnology,HarbinUniversityofTechnology,ShandongUniversity,NorthwestInstituteofTechnology,SouthChinaInstituteofTechnology,TongjiUniversity,NankaiUniversity,XiamenUniversity,FudanUniversity,QingdaoInstituteofTechnology,SunanInstituteofTechnologyandotherdisciplinesanddepartments,includingtheDepartmentofElectricalEngineering,theDepartmentofMining,andMetallurgyDepartment,CivilEngineeringDepartment,ArchitectureDepartment,MunicipalDepartment(Department),ForeignLanguageDepartment,FinanceDepartment,etc.weremergedintoNortheastInstituteofTechnology.Inthesameyear,NortheastInstituteofTechnologybegantorecruitgraduatestudents.
InAugust1952,theDepartmentofMathematicsofNortheastInstituteofTechnologywasadjustedtoNortheastRenminUniversity(nowJilinUniversity)accordingtotheplanoftheCentralMinistryofEducationandtheNortheastPeople’sGovernmentontheadjustmentofcollegesanduniversitiesinNortheastChina.TheDepartmentwasadjustedtoNortheastNormalUniversity,theDepartmentofChemicalEngineeringwasadjustedtoDalianInstituteofTechnology(nowDalianUniversityofTechnology).TheNortheastInstituteofGeology(laterItwaschangedtoChangchunUniversityofScienceandTechnologyandmergedintoJilinUniversity).Duringthethirdfacultyadjustmentinthecountry,theDepartmentofArchitectureandCivilEngineeringofNortheastInstituteofTechnologymovedwesttoXi'an,formingtheXi'anInstituteofArchitectureandEngineering(nowXi'anUniversityofArchitectureandTechnology).
Attheendof1953,NortheastInstituteofTechnologypublishedChina’sfirstuniversityjournal"ScientificResearchMaterials".
Inearly1955,NortheastInstituteofTechnologyheldChina'sfirstscientificreportmeeting.Inthesameyear,theschoolheldastudentsciencereportmeeting,whichproducedthefirststudentscienceandtechnologyassociationinthehistoryofaChineseuniversity.
InJune1955,theCommitteeoftheChineseAcademyofScienceswasestablished,andtheDeanProfessorJinShuliangwasselectedasamemberoftheChineseAcademyofSciences.

Intheearly1950s,ProfessorXuHaoofNortheastInstituteofTechnologybegantodevotehimselftotheresearchinthefieldoffatiguestrengthdesign.Atthebeginningofthedecade,hewrotemycountry’sfirstfatiguedesignmonograph"FatigueStrengthDesign",andproposed"Miner'sTheorem-InterferenceModelSynthesisMethod"inthe1990s,expoundingtheconceptof"probabilityrelativetoMiner'stheorem"forthefirsttime,solvingtheproblemathomeandabroad.Unresolvedreliabilitydesignproblemsunderrandomloads.In1957,ProfessorXieXukaiofNortheastInstituteofTechnology's"NewMethodforStudyingStabilityofLinearSystems"wonagrandprizeattheFirstNationalConferenceonMechanics,andwasincludedintheuniversitytextbookof"GeneralMechanics"andwasnamed"XieXukai'sJudgment"Accordingto".
OntheeveoftheNationalDayin1958,theteamofProfessorLiHuatianfromNortheastInstituteofTechnologysuccessfullydevelopedChina'sfirstanalogelectroniccomputer.
In1959,NortheastInstituteofTechnologywasresponsiblefororganizingtheShenyangInstituteofAutomation,ChineseAcademyofSciences.Tothisend,NortheastInstituteofTechnologyestablishedtheDepartmentofElectronicstocultivatetalentsfortheestablishmentoftheinstitute.ProfessorLangShijunfromNortheastInstituteofTechnologyistheheadofthedepartmentandisresponsiblefortheestablishmentoftheinstitute.
InOctober1960,NortheastInstituteofTechnologywaslistedasoneofthe64keyuniversitiesinthecountryaccordingtothe"DecisiononIncreasingNationalKeyHigherEducationInstitutions"bytheCentralCommitteeoftheCommunistPartyofChina.

InNovember1981,NortheastInstituteofTechnologywasdesignatedbythestateasthefirstbatchofschoolswiththerighttograntbachelor’s,master’sanddoctoratedegrees.
InApril1986,withtheapprovaloftheStateCouncil,NortheastInstituteofTechnologybecameoneofthecountry’s33pilotgraduateschools.
In1987,theQinhuangdaoBranchofNortheastInstituteofTechnologywasestablishedinQinhuangdaoanddevelopedrapidly,becominganintegralpartofNortheastInstituteofTechnology.Thediploma,studentID,andstudentfileswerecollectivelysigned"NortheastInstituteofTechnology".
In1989,NortheastInstituteofTechnologyestablishedthefirstscienceparkofaChineseuniversity.
In1993,theStateEducationCommissionofficiallyapprovedtherenameofNortheasternInstituteofTechnologytoNortheasternUniversity,andtheschoolhiredZhangXueliangasthehonorarypresidentofNortheasternUniversity.QinhuangdaoBranchwasrenamedas"NortheasternUniversityQinhuangdaoBranch"followingtherenameofNortheasternUniversity.
In1996,NortheasternUniversityenteredthecountry’sfirstbatchof"Project211"keyconstructionranks,andQinhuangdaobranchalsoenteredtheranksof"Project211".InJanuaryofthefollowingyear,theformerShenyangGoldInstitutewasmergedintoNortheasternUniversity.
In1998,NortheasternUniversityenteredtheranksofthefirstbatchof"985Project"universitiesinthecountry,andwasplacedunderthedirectadministrationoftheMinistryofEducation,andtheQinhuangdaobranchwasalsounderthedirectadministrationoftheMinistryofEducation.
In2001,theearlycampusofNortheasternUniversity(locatedintheformersiteofNortheasternUniversityontheeastsideofBeilingStreet,HuangguDistrict,Shenyang)wasdesignatedasanationalkeyculturalrelicsprotectionunit.Inthesameyear,thefirstbatchofnationaldemonstrationsoftwarecollegeswereapproved.InMay,theNortheasternUniversityScienceandTechnologyParkwasrecognizedasthe"NortheasternUniversityNationalUniversityScienceandTechnologyPark"inthefirstbatch.

OnJanuary23,2002,signedbytheMinistryofEducation,thePeople’sGovernmentofLiaoningProvinceandthePeople’sGovernmentofShenyangCityFocusontheagreementtojointlybuildNortheasternUniversity.OnOctober25,NortheasternUniversitysuccessfullypassedthefeasibilitystudyreportoftheMinistryofEducation's"TenthFive-YearPlan"and"Project211"constructionfeasibilitystudyreport.
In2003,NortheasternUniversitysignedastrategiccooperationagreementwiththeChina(Hainan)InstituteofReformandDevelopmenttoestablishabranchoftheNortheasternUniversityGraduateSchoolandtheChineseReformInstitute.
In2006,theQinhuangdaobranchbegantoundertakethe"985Project"constructionproject,andsimultaneouslyenteredthe"985Project"nationalkeyuniversity.
In2007,theschoolwasselectedintothenational"111Plan"forthefirsttime.
InJune2009,withtheapprovaloftheAcademicDegreesOfficeoftheStateCouncil,theSchoolofBusinessAdministrationofNortheasternUniversityofficiallybecametheEMBApilotschool.
InMay2011,itwasappraisedbytheMinistryofEducationas"NationalGraduateEmploymentExperienceCollege".InSeptember,hewasselectedtoimplementthe"ExcellentEngineerEducationandTrainingProgram"oftheMinistryofEducation.
InApril2012,theMinistryofEducation,thePeople'sGovernmentofLiaoningProvince,andthePeople'sGovernmentofShenyangCityrenewedtheagreementtocontinuetofocusonthejointconstructionofNortheasternUniversity.

InJanuary2020,theFoshanGraduateSchoolofNortheasternUniversityandtheFoshanRoboticsInstituteofNortheasternUniversitywereunveiledinFoshan.OnAugust27,theNortheasternUniversityLow-CarbonSteelFrontierTechnologyResearchInstitutewasinauguratedandestablished.OnSeptember30,becameamemberofthe"ResourcesandEnvironmentPovertyAlleviationAlliance"ofuniversities.OnOctober20,joinedthe"UrbanandRuralPlanningPovertyAlleviationAlliance".

学生实习
截至2014年3月,学校已在宝钢、鞍钢、首钢、本钢等大中型企业建立了150余个长期稳定的校外实习基地。并投资3435万元重点建设了国家工科基础课程机械基础教学基地、国家工科基础课程电工电子教学基地、东北大学信息技术共同教育基地、工程训练中心等13个校内实习教学基地。
境外交流
截至2019年3月,东北大学先后与美国普林斯顿大学、加州大学、卡内基·梅隆大学、密苏里科技大学,英国剑桥大学、牛津大学、邓迪大学、拉夫堡大学,法国Metz大学,爱尔兰都柏林城市大学,加拿大戴尔豪斯大学,日本东北大学、早稻田大学、北海道大学、名古屋大学,韩国仁荷大学,中国香港大学等37个国家和地区的206所大学、研究机构及企业建立了长期稳定的合作关系。每年聘请400多位海外知名专家来校讲学和合作科研,因公出国(境)学术交流近600人。截至2017年7月,有来自98个国家和地区的各类留学生1400余人在校学习。

文化传统
东北大学校徽
白山黑水是东北大学校徽的主题。
东大校徽的原设计是中华人民共和国国徽的设计者、著名建筑学家林徽因副教授于1929年的作品。校徽在此基础上做了个别修改,主要是加入了张学良老校长1992年为东大题写的校名。东北大学校徽主体图案白山黑水,意为长白山和黑龙江,泛指中国东北地区;水的线条形为易经中的艮卦,艮卦代表东北方位。

东北大学校训
“自强不息,知行合一”
百年前的白山黑水山河破碎,时任东三省巡阅使、奉天督军兼省长的张作霖采纳了各方意见,于1923年组建了以御侮兴邦为办学初衷的东北大学,第一任校长王永江在首届学生开学典礼时题写了“知行合一”四字校训,“知行合一”语出心学集大成者王守仁。所谓“知行合一”,不只是讲一般的认识和实践的关系,更重要的是指人的道德意识和思想意念与人的道德践履和实际行动之间的关系。
1928年,身负国仇家恨的张学良成为东北大学第三任校长,他在对学生讲话时说,“我很希望诸君,要坚定了志向,各用自己之所学,全国学者都能如此,则中国自强矣”,“自强不息”出自《易经》中乾卦的象传,其词云“天行健,君子以自强不息”,张学良校长以“自强不息”鼓励东大学生。
自此,“自强不息,知行合一”便成为东大师生薪尽火传的信念与理想。

东北大学主校区——南湖校区位于辽宁省沈阳市,校园南滨浑河,北畔南湖;学校占地总面积203万平方米,建筑面积100万平方米。现有场地设施包括:标准田径场2块;(其中一块容纳15000人的看台)80×100足球场2块;3800m²体育馆一座(内设篮球、乒乓球和体操馆);192m²健身房1座;100m²武术房1座;70×30轮滑场地1块;篮球场地20块;排球场地12块;游泳馆一座(总建筑面积6774m²)。另有教学场馆多座:何世礼教学馆,逸夫楼,机电馆,建筑馆,采矿馆,冶金馆,大成教学楼,大学城等。

东北大学沈河校区为原东北大学基础学院,学院坐落在沈阳市的东南部,紧邻浑南开发区,与校南湖校区相距6公里。在浑南校区建设完成后,东北大学在校学生已经不在这里学习。2015年,东北大学继续教育学院迁入此地,东北大学沈河校区担任成人教育以及高职培训等继续教育的教学工作。
