Main Responsibilities

(5) Responsible for the rational development and utilization of natural resources. (7) Responsible for the overall planning of ecological restoration of land and space. Take the lead in organizing the preparation of land and space ecological restoration plans and the implementation of major ecological restoration projects. Responsible for the comprehensive renovation of land and space, land consolidation and reclamation, mine geological environment restoration and management, marine ecology, sea coastline and island restoration, etc. Lead the establishment and implementation of an ecological protection compensation system, formulate policies and measures for the rational use of social funds for ecological restoration, and propose major alternative projects.
(8) Responsible for organizing and implementing the most stringent farmland protection system. Take the lead in formulating and implementing farmland protection policies, and be responsible for the quantity, quality and ecological protection of farmland. Organize and implement the assessment of arable land protection responsibility targets and special protection of permanent basic farmland.
