About the University
predecessor Renmin University of China was born in 1937, the Anti-Japanese war in northern Shaanxi Public School, and later the North China Union University and the University of North China. On October 3, 1950, the Renmin University of China, China Renmin University, held the opening ceremony, and became the first new formal university founded by New China. Since 1950, the country has established a key university, and the Renmin University of China is ranked. The school is a humanities and social sciences research-based integrated national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, one of the national key construction universities by the Ministry of Education and Beijing to build the "985 Project" and "211 Project." The school has 17 members of the 6th State Council Committee and a member of the Discipline Commission, and 14 professors have selected the Social Science Commission of the Ministry of Education and the number of people in the country.
About the Institute
In July 1995, the Institute set up media management, this is the first study to manage the media and other dissemination of research-based management of research institutions . In March 1995, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Institute of Journalism was established to meet the needs under the theory and practice of "one country, two system" Conditions of news dissemination. 1996 Audiovisual Communication Research Center was established to accommodate the sudden emergence of radio and television broadcasting, and the development needs of network communication and the rise of photojournalism. Consists of three Institute: Institute of Journalism and Communication, Public Opinion Research Institute and the Institute for Economic Research media.
The main direction of public opinion research institute, study characteristics were as follows: the perception of the reality of life and social issues, attitudes and opinions as an object to public opinion and social relations, public opinion and the news media as a link, to explain the social phenomenon of public opinion, predict changes in the development of public opinion, and to explore the basic principles of public regulation, promote healthy social development for the purpose of the study of public opinion and social hot spots and trends, provide basic data for social decision-making and news media offices and valuable reference observations.
